I’ve been waiting patiently for Radiohead to release a few goodies. So happy they didn’t disappoint (which was highly unlikely in the first place!).
Always. Baffling. I owe Radiohead many thanks but lack the correct words.
They did it again!
Don't try to wake me...
By A critic's critic
This song is the kind of dream from which one should never be waken. The gentle piano gracefully meanders from one chord to another, while the orchestral arrangement - complements of Johnny Greenwood - swells with euphoric passion, hypnotizing the captive audience into a state of blissful contemplation, as Thom Yorke laments a world in which people never learn, and perhaps fail to see the beauty all around them. The melody is sparse, yet impactful and beautiful. Every word is sung with careful succinctness, and every moment of this song is a journey through wonderland. Well done, good sirs. May I never wake again, and may you never leave me in a world without your music.
Radiohead never disappoints. From their own eclectic music to Thom's deep street spirit lyrics, Radiohead has created yet another masterpiece. Cheers to Radiohead!
This may be the most jaw-droppingly beautiful song I've ever heard
